The future of online commerce lies with cross-channel or merged-channel capability

There is growing evidence that the merchant market is already heavily thinking about multi-channel. 88% of retailers in a recent Forrester Research survey ranked the need to support multi-channel initiatives as important or very important. 93% of participants in recent Retail Systems research agreed with the statement, “The future of online commerce lies with cross-channel or merged-channel capability.”

In recent research, SecureNet, too, concluded that merchants selling through multiple channels is a current phenomenon rather than something conjectural. More than 60% of merchants in SecureNet’s November 2013 merchant survey already accept payments in more than one channel.
